Are you a rising senior and wondering when and how to start your college applications? Are you a bit bewildered by the whole process?
Basecamp College Application Boot Camp has you covered. Spend a week with a certified professional and start your senior year with a jumpstart on your college applications. This fast-paced and focused instruction will save you hours of time and tons of last-minute stress!
What to Expect at Boot Camp
The Common Application for undergraduate admissions is accepted by over 1,000 private and public colleges and universities. The elements created for the Common App are also useful for scholarship applications. Some state schools use their own application rather than the Common App, and this camp supports completing those applications as well.
Our App Camp is tailored towards making sure you complete the necessary steps to hit the submit button this fall!
Note: Although not required, it is recommended that students have their college list created before the start of camp.
Common Application

Complete the Common Application or some state school applications (without supplements)

Personal Statement

Write a compelling personal statement

You will be guided through choosing your essay topic, and writing frameworks that will help you deliver a standout, insightful essay.

Draft the “Why This College?" essay.

Each student’s drafts will be reviewed and provided individualized feedback.

Create Your Letter of Recommendation Brag Sheet

Compose recommender requests

All students will be prepared to ask two teachers and their counselor for letters of recommendation this fall.

A portion of time will be spent on scholarship searching including Oregon’s OSAC scholarship.

What we won’t do:
Standardized test preparation, appropriate college list creation, interest or career testing, exploration of college majors, supplemental applications or essays, college visit planning, guarantee admittance to any school.

Pricing
$1,500 - prepaid to be paid upon reservation.
