Alison Howell, M.Ed
I have been working with high school and college students for the past 15 years as a college and career counselor, college academic advisor, and a university adjunct, teaching the On Course curriculum to first-year students. I'm looking forward to helping your student get on top of their college applications and relieve some stress!

A Bit About Me
One of my favorite sayings is, "You don't know what you don't know." I love helping students create a plan for after high school. This is such an exciting time, almost anything is possible. I have supported hundreds of students with their college search and application process. Although I like to "nerd out" over this topic, I enjoy many other things as well!
In the summer you can find me in the water somewhere - whether it be our neighborhood pool, the Willamette River or Lake Billy Chinook! My husband, four kids, and I also love to mountain bike and snow ski, we are very active! I enjoy listening to books via Libby from my local library, and although I don't claim to have a green thumb, I do claim to be a "plant mom!"

Session Title: Team Huddle: Radical Collaboration Where Everyone Can Thrive
Description of Session: Constant threats exist for students living in economic and political uncertainties, thus causing them to lose faith in the value of a college education. Examining Burnett and Evans' radical collaboration, we will discuss a transformative approach to teamwork and problem-solving where diverse perspectives are valued through new and innovative ways.
